DETERMINANTS OF OUTPUT OF CASSAVA (MANIHOT SPECIES) PRODUCTION IN ABUJA, NIGERIA

This research study focused on determinants of the output cassava (Manihot species) production in Abuja, Nigeria. Multi-stage method sampling was used. One hundred (100) farmers were sampled and selected. Primary data obtained through use a well-designed also well-structured questionnaire. Data analyzed using econometrics statistical tools. The results show that 87% producers between 31 to 50 years age. About 72% had formal education literate. Averagely, they 4.76 hectares farmland. estimated gross margin (GM) net farm income (NFI) per hectare 1,464, 162.72 Naira 1, 453, 752.49 respectively. implies profitable worthwhile. Farm size fertilizer input statistically significant factors influencing production.
